Added a sentence to the popup dialog related to auto-filling certain fields when editing details of a document for a person. If you turn off the feature for the entire work session, it will reset itself and show the option the next time you start Clooz. 3.3.12 2015-4-30 Fixed issue when sorting people list by birth, marriage or death dates, when the vital event date was auto-generated based on entries in a document (census, birth record, etc). For previously entered data not being display in the proper sort order, edit that person (open the editor) and click OK to recalculate the value used for sorting. 3.3.11 2015-4-17 Non-picture Media files (document, sound, video) and URLs attached to Clooz documents can now be exported to Legacy v8 during document export operations. They will show up in the Media Gallery screens of Legacy, for the individual or event, as well as source details 3.3.10.3 2015-4-14 Fixes issues when pasting or dragging a digital media file into a new source. The 1921 Canadian Census template was updated to more accurately reflect the actual document used in the nationwide Census. The old template matched the Newfoundland census of that same year, when Newfoundland was not yet part of Canada. The old template is now labeled as Newfoundland. The report format for 1921 Canadian Census documents has been updated to handle the changes made in the template. A new Synchronization Transfer Tool has been added to assist users migrating from one family tree program to another by transferring the links to one external file to another (eg., a TMG user who linked to their data from Clooz can shift the links to apply to a Legacy or RootsMagic file containing the same identification numbers as the TMG file). See pages 54-61 of the revised Clooz User Guide for a fuller explanation, or find the topic in the Clooz help file by clicking on the index keyword: synchronization. 3.3.5 2014-4-24 Fixed issue with handling .jpeg files (vs .jpg). Corrected false error message when using tab key with Image documents. Previous updates: A new file maintenance function has been added to regenerate 'Other Surname' values for each person, based on the married name entries and surnames appearing in documents having different spellings than the surname spelling in the person's main record. However, this should rarely be necessary to use. Clooz database was updated to properly handle links to images which were originally created using Clooz version 2.1 and upgraded to version 3. Fixed a bug where linking a person to a generic census document from within the census tab of the Person's details form was not executed properly. Changed default media selections when exporting documents to Legacy. In order to reduce the number of duplicate image occurrences related to various Legacy events coming from a single Clooz document, only the media associated with the principal event type described by a Clooz document (census event with census document, birth event with birth record, etc) will be initially selected. The media files will now be unchecked for other events derived from the document. If no principal event is obvious (such as from Generic Documents), all media files will be checked for export in all events. The user can always override these initial selections. All media files are still initially be selected for export in the source details and master sources, regardless of the event type. Enabled Internet URLs as attachments to events and sources being exported to Legacy 8. Fixed error when export people to Legacy with apostrophes in their name. Enhancements: Import from RootsMagic now supports synchronizing the Family Search Family Tree ID (in addition to the RIN, Reference No, and AFN in earlier releases). User ID and AFN fields were added to the list of exportable fields for a person in the Document Export feature. This export is only available to Legacy Family Tree databases. "Advanced Import/Export Options" have been added (accessible through right clicking one of the data grids in the Data Transfer Manager, or the people grid of the Document Export window). The Advanced Import option allows you to save the Legacy: User ID, AFN, or Family Search ID, or RootsMagic: Reference No, AFN, or Family Search ID into the Clooz Alternate ID value for the person when an import occurs (no subsequent synchronization). The Advanced Export option (Legacy only) saves the Clooz Alternate ID value as the User ID or AFN in Legacy. These import/export settings stay in effect until you change them. When exporting Passenger List source documents (using Document Export feature), a question will now popup asking if the passenger record is to be treated as an immigration event. The Passenger List (Later) template now allows you to designate whether the person is Primary or not, and what their relationship was. This will allow you to link people mentioned in the document, such as the person the passenger was going to join. When exported to Legacy, these people will share the immigration event (if requested) the relationship (role) you specified. Fixed: Minor issue with the way sources and source details were saved in Legacy v8. 3.3.1 2013-10-18 Fixed linking issue in help file. Modified some program error messages. 3.3.0.1 2013-10-13 Fixes issue with archive function. 3.3.0 2013-10-10 This update provides a significant new capability to export Clooz documents to Legacy as events, and provides a media location tool to assist in relocating data files to a new system or disk drive. 3.2.4 2013-3-26 Fixed issue where editing items in the Composite View list would occasionally come up with the wrong document template. Expanded size of the Age field in the 1850/1860 U.S. census forms. Expanded the Description, Page, and Size fields in the Deed document type, and Page and Size in the Tax Records. Expanded the Page field size in other document and census substitute types, as well as in U.S. Census (population schedules) 1860-1940. 3.2.0 2013-2-21 New feature: Composite View. A tree-like structure showing the linkages between persons and documents in your database. New option to control which countries should be visible on the main page for entering census data. Updated help file and User Guide. Renamed the report type 'Research Logs>All Research Logs>Selected Log IDs' data column to 'Log ID' (was SD). Fixed the problem with the Selected Surnames under All Research Logs where all surnames were reported, whether selected or not. Now, only selected surnames appear in the report. Fixed several of the report types where choice of People or Business is given. Now only People are listed for People, and only Businesses for Businesses. It had previously list all data regardless of the choice, however the generated report was still correct. Fixed a problem when merging Clooz files where links between Businesses and Documents were not transferred correctly. Fixed a display issue where long text had embedded return characters. Fixed an issue with handling of people's names. When editing names with only a prefix title (no other given names), the prefix would populate the given name field on subsequent edits. 3.1.11 2012-12-20 Fixed issue when exporting data to Legacy when overwriting a previously linked individual record. Fixed access issue when open databases on some Windows 8 systems. 3.1.3 2012-10-4 The following changes are included in this update: Several new report options have been added to the All Censuses reports. You may now select specific townships (US, Canada and others), parishes (UK and Norway), and districts (France). Parishes are now listed under the township column for UK census records in the People details, Census Tab. Age at last birthday is now displayed in reports for generic census records, Every Member format. Several issues related to version 1.23 database conversions have been fixed. 3.1.2 2012-9-20 The following changes are included in this update: Registration District, Sub-District and Enumeration District have been added to the UK 1841-1901 Census reports. UK Censuses now show the full archive reference (collection, series, piece, book) in reports. When editing UK Census documents, enter the piece number in the designated field as before. For 1841 Censuses only, enter piece/book in this field. Within UK Censuses, Folio is the stamped number on every other page. This field has been moved from the document template to the details form since it is more properly associated with the page number. Folio should show the stamped number and whether it is the front or back of the page (e.g., 324 Front). In reports, Folio will now appear beside the page numbers. The enumeration date for the 1901 UK Census has been changed to 31 March/1 April, 1901. The 1916 Canadian census, 1911 UK Census, and 1940 US Census have been added to the list of templates that appears when clicking the "Transfer to Clooz Template" button within the research log item window. The enumeration district field for UK Censuses has been expanded to 50 characters to accommodate enumerations of institutions. This field also appears in all UK Census reports. When the All Censuses list is displayed, the Parish name will appear in the Township column for UK Censuses, and Town will appear when no City name was entered. The Knowledgebase link that appears on the Help menu has been corrected to link to the correct address. Attempting to close the application (via the red X in the upper right corner of the window) multiple times during the shutdown process no longer causes an error. The ability to get to the Reset Grid Layout Settings has been added to the File Menu, under the Maintenance category. This previously was only available on the Options form (Edit Menu), but only when a database was open. The File Menu is available at all times. 3.1.0 2012-8-27 External file IDs (RINs, User Reference Numbers, AFN, etc) are now displayable on the main list of people, on the link selection list of people, and the report selection window. The additional columns can be turned on and off using the right-click menu items. The external IDs are only available when an external file is designated as "primary" (using the the right-click menu with the list for External files). The original Alternate ID column is unaffected, except it can now be hidden from display. Can now delete Clooz records from within the Data Transfer Manager. Most records (people, documents, images, etc) can now be deleted from the main list (using the right-click menu, Delete Item command). A status bar has been added at the bottom showing the name of the current user, and the name of the currently selected primary external file (if selected). The Data Transfer Manager now shows the Clooz ID for records in addition to one linked to the other data source. Sources are now linked, similar to people, by showing the source record ID used in the other data source. Potential duplication of sources during imports is now handled the same as with people, where an overwrite decision is requested. The Newspaper source tab ordering has been fixed. Creating a New person while entering a document will no longer leave a space in various fields. Auto filling of certain fields in the some document details has been further adjusted. When sources are deleted, the links to them are also now cleared. Now recognize Clooz database version 2.0.7 for upgrading. 3.0.44 2012-8-13 Expanded Call # field in sources from 10 to 50 characters. Turned off pre-fill of marital status in censuses. Modified database version number format to avoid possibility of an upgraded database being opened by Clooz version 2.1 (which prevents return to version 3 format). 3.0.43 2012-8-9 Fixed issue affecting database upgrades that had any very long Internet URL addresses. Added 1940 US, 1911 UK, and 1916 Canada censuses to the Census/All Censuses/Selected Years report list. Fixed issue where 1900 US Census was not showing age since last birthday in reports (if entered in version 2 or beyond). Fixed numerous censuses reports (1860 and earlier US, others) to expand the ID field. Fixed an issue when saving source and repository names that allowed trailing spaces to be present, preventing proper operation when selecting from the drop down lists. 3.0.42 2012-8-8 Fixed various US Census reports to show relations for new entries and expanded the ID field to display larger values. Fixed the Web Site Source form to keep the URL and Credit Line fields. The URL field is now independent of the other digital file/URL list, so a picture file can now be selected as Primary from that list for display in the thumbnail image shown on the source form. A database upgrade is necessary to support these changes, which will happen automatically when you open an older version database. Changes were made to reduce the amount of memory consumed by the form used to select persons to link to documents. 3.0.38 2012-7-31 Fixed issue caused by failing to properly save the grid configurations when Clooz was being shutdown for an update. (Gave "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error at startup.) Database change to allow more than 100 characters in a person's marriage date field (accommodating numerous marriages). Databases will be updated the first time they are used with this version. Fixed issue with repository drop down box in Source forms, which was giving an error when saving the source form (in certain case, where repository did not have a country entry). 3.0.34.1 2012-7-27 Minor user guide and help file corrections. 3.0.33 2012-7-25 Correct the database to permit use of duplicate personal file ID's in documents. 3.0.29.5 2012-7-18 Documentation updated. Updates now coming from Amazon web services.
